IN HONOR OF OUR FALLEN HEROES
THIS PAGE IS DEDICATED TO THE MEN AND WOMEN OF THE FIRE AND EMS SERVICE THAT HAVE PASSED OVER THE YEARS. MAY THEY NOT BE FORGOTTEN....................

Brother and Sister when you weep for me Remember that it was meant to be Lay me down and when you leave Remember I'll be at you sleeve In every dark and choking hall I'll be there as you slowly crawl On every roof in driving snow I'll hold your coat and you will know In cellars hot with searing heat At windows where a gate you meet In closets where young children hide You know I'll be there at your side The house from which I now respond Is overstaffed with heroes gone Men and women who answered one last bell Did the job and did it well As firefighters we understand That deaths a card dealt in our hand A card we hope we never play But one we hold there anyway That card is something we ignore As we crawl across a weakened floor For we know that we're the only prayer For anyone that might be there So remember as you wipe your tears The joy I knew throughout the years
I would like to dedicate a list below to honor those men and women that have fallen over the years. I am asking your help in providing names, title, dept. and the year they passed on. You can provide this information by sending me an E-mail at kblee@ptd.net Thank You And Take Care !!

Carl "Doc" Poust, Paramedic died on September 28th 2007 after being involved in a vehicle accident.. He is survived by his wife and 2 young daughters. Doc is a great loss to the EMS service. He was a caring, dedicated, compassionate man who loved spending time with his family, was very dedicated to the EMS field and had a goal to make people laugh. He was our comedian in EMS. As quoted by many...."If you didn't laugh when Doc was around, you were sick" He was a member of the band Plum Crazy. He was an active volunteer with the Benton, Millville and Unityville Fire Depts. Along with being a Supervisor at the Berwick Ambulance, he also worked part time with Greater Columbia EMS. There were not many in the area that did not know or know of Doc. The only thing that can ease our mind is that God wanted some entertainment and another angel in heaven to watch over the rest of us. It is a great loss to the EMS family. A memorial fund has been set up for Docs family. You can send donations to : C/O Berwick Ambulance 2018 North Vine Street Berwick, PA 18603 Rest in Peace Doc, We Love and Miss you !!!!
